I've Been Told My A Little Girl That Her Mum Hates Me

My daughter has a best friend who was invited to her birthday party. When I asked why she couldn't come she replied that her mum hates me and she wasn't allowed to come. What can I do? I have tried to tell the school but they are not interested, what can I do? I know who is saying bad things about me to other mums (my ex) but how can I defend myself and protect my daughter from thinking about these horrible things their friends are saying about her mummy? Please help....? X
