Former Teacher

Verbally attacked by colleague while other colleagues were present. Spoke with Admin. who tried to excuse the behavior. Because it happened more than a few times I found it difficult to work in that type of environment and eventually resigned and am still trying to come to terms with it all as I was a dedicated, genuine caring teacher who loved teaching and related well to parents.

Yes, I understand completely. The career you worked so hard for; the kids you love and miss; the self you shared everyday, all gone because of the ignorance and jealously of others. I am sorry this happened to you, and I hope you come out okay. I am on leave ordered by my doctor, and my administration wants me to go the early disability retirement route, which I have read is par for the course. Does anybody want to know what is really wrong with our schools? I bet we could tell them!!
